The Benue
State House of Assembly chaired by the Honourable Speaker, Hon.Titus
Abua with 21 others has just suspended the 8 others who carried out the
shameful act of illegality that occurred in Benue State today.
The suspended members are:
Hon.Adanyi Benjamin
Hon.Terhemba Chabo
Hon.Benjamin Nungwa
Hon. Adams Okloho
Hon. James Okefe
Hon. Nick Eworo and two other members.
In a motion put up by the majority leader, Hon Avine Agbom and
seconded by Hon Ianna Jato, the suspension was passed after a voice vote
by the speaker Hon Titus Abua.
In the same order, the Benue
State High Court presided over by the state Chief Judge, Hon Justice
Adam Onum had earlier issued an injunction restraining the impeached
speaker Hon Terkinbi Ikyange from parading himself as the speaker or
acting otherwise.
